Meet Jacob

I'm a licensed independent mental health practitioner and therapist who specializes in supporting neurodiverse (including autism and ADHD) and/or gender-diverse adults and adolescents. My practice is in network with most major insurance plans and Medicaid, and I see clients on a self-pay basis. I also work with new practitioners as a clinical supervisor. Before becoming a counselor, I was a public school teacher working with students who were identified as gifted yet underperformed academically. I received my MA in Counseling with a concentration in Community Counseling from West Virginia University in 2006. I continue to enjoy working with individuals who are sensitive, creative, and insightful, and those who are cultivating these traits. I discovered a passion for supporting those who may appear outwardly successful or are doing "fine," but who feel emotionally overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or struggle with addiction or identity challenges. Perhaps you are ready to let some of that out, let some things go, and to build some new skills for creating a more fulfilling and sustainable way of being. My office is in the heart of downtown Lincoln, Nebraska, near the intersection of O St. and 12th St. A nearby city parking garage, with 1 hour of free parking M-F 8-5, offers a covered walkway to my ADA-compliant building. I also offer appointments via Telehealth. |
